ONGOING CLASSES

SPINNING FOR BEGINNERS (6 sessions = 12 hours)
Learn to spin with a spinning wheel.  Spinning allows you the freedom to create your own yarns out of fibres you want to use.  Class size is limited to 4 participants.
Cost: $75         Materials: MUST HAVE OWN SPINNING WHEEL IN WORKING ORDER (if in doubt, speak to Lynne prior to class).  Fibre for spinning will be provided.
Dates: ongoing  Please place name on list and class will be scheduled when there are sufficient numbers of participants.            Instructor: Lynne Anderson

DROP SPINDLING (1 sessions = 2.5 hours)
Learn to spin without a wheel.  Drop spindles are portable, pretty and quite simple to use.  This is a good skill to learn if you are thinking about learning to spin on a wheel.
Cost: $25         Materials: Training spindles provided.  Fibre to be purchased.

GUIDED KNITTING (6 sessions = 12 hours)
Let Lynne be your knitting mom!!  This unstructured project-oriented class is suitable for anyone who can cast-on, knit, purl and cast-off.  With Lynne’s help, you choose a project suitable to your skill level that will challenge you.  Then Lynne will provide guidance, assistance, enthusiasm and encouragement as you work on your chosen project.  Learn from your own project as well as from the other students’ projects, problems and solutions
Cost: $ 75        Materials: Not included.             Instructor: Lynne Anderson
Dates: Mondays 7:00 to 9:00pm (NOT every Monday dates TBA based on Lynne’s hospital schedule)

 
 

THE FINE PRINT:

  • Registration: Payment is due at time of registration at least 1 week in advance of class in CASH OR BY CHEQUE MADE OUT TO THE INSTRUCTOR.  If you call the store, we can put your name on the class list but your spot is not secure until payment is received.  Class fees are NOT transferable.  Class size is limited so register early to avoid disappointment.
  • Supplies: Please purchase all necessary supplies at Knitopia.  All students receive a 10% discount on all purchases while attending our classes.
  • Cancellations: up to 1 week prior to the start date will receive a full refund.  Cancellations of less than 1 week are non-refundable.  Classes cancelled due to insufficient registration will be given a full refund.
  • Missed Classes: Students who miss a class will NOT be given a credit/ refund or makeup class.  Instructor-missed classes or weather-related cancellation of classes will be credited/refunded or rescheduled (subject to instructor/classroom availability).
  • Help Between Classes: We want you to succeed and enjoy your lessons and projects!!  Help is available between classes if you get stuck with your homework.  All staff are willing to help BUT respect each other’s teaching so it is best to seek help from your class instructor.  Please check with your instructor as to scheduled times in the store.  Also, please remember that if you drop into the store for help, if the store is busy you may have to wait a few minutes.
